人類史上これまで、国家の戦争の元に少女は父を、恋人を、長じて夫を、息子を、孫をまたその先の息子達を失ってきました。軍隊の中で、愛する彼らが、人殺し訓練をされることを女たちは望みません。ましてや、よその国の女性やいたいけな少女に、性暴力を働くことなど憤悶の苦しみです。

おろおろと国家の戦争で明け暮れているうちに、２１世紀。地球環境そのものが、人類の揺りかごであることに、多大な不安がでてきました。戦争という国家暴力で貴重な資源を失い地球環境破壊をしている場合ではありません。日本の国から、あなたの国家の軍隊はどうぞお引き取りください。

私たちの国は、１９４６年、日本国憲法第９条で、どこの国の軍隊も必要としない事を決意しました。時の政府の過ちで解釈が違ったとしてもです。戦争の明け暮れに辟易とした、この国の民がコンセンサスとして持ち、いまだ素晴らしく誇りとしているものです。これからの国際社会でますます、尊重されていくことでしょう。

野蛮な文化はもう放棄しなければならない時にきています。国家という権力システムで人類の舵取りをあやまたないでください。

「平和への結集」をめざす市民の風

Throughout history, women have lost their fathers, lovers,husbands, sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons to wars fought by nations. It is abhorrent for women to think of their beloved men being trained within the military to kill other human beings,and it fills us with an agonizing rage to think of their inflicting sexual violence upon innocent women or young girls in other lands.

Although we have now entered the 21st century, still nations remain absorbed in the task of continually fighting such wars. Our natural environment–the very cradle that sustains our culture–is now in a state that raises our grave concern. It is certainly no time, then, for nations to be squandering priceless resources and destroying our environment in the name of waging these state wars.

We ask that you kindly take your country’s military out of Japan. In 1946,Article 9 of the Japanese constitution made it clear that no country’s military would be needed in our country. At this time, our citizens reached a consensus to do away with the odious tool of war–even if our government should one day misinterpret this intention. Indeed, Article 9 continues to remain a point of pride for our nation, and also promises to gain increased international prominence.

The time has come where barbaric cultures must be done away with. Please, do not utilize the nation state system as tool of power with which to continue to jeopardize our very human race.
